Crossing the Nile River to the West Bank arriving at the Valley of the Kings, burial place of the kings of Thebes (ancient Luxor), was first used as a royal necropolis by Thutmosis I, although it was his predecessor, Amenhotep I, who was considered the patron-god of the valley by the actual builders of the tombs. Then Continue to visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the most striking monuments in Egypt.
